Villa Atelier LEMORDANT-LAUNAY - Paris 14ème.

Blind, the painter Jean-Julien Lemordant participated in the design of his house by sculpting clay models in order to agree with the architect Jean Launay.
He wanted logic and simple looking house.

Bloggers Interiors : Joann, freelance writer and mother of two in Toronto, opens her home

Hey Joann, please let's us know your  home decoration and creation inspiration ?
My decorating inspiration comes from spotting things that I like and then making them work in our home. I don't often go out looking for something specific. I just know what I like when I see it! Sometimes it's at a thrift shop or my parents' house. My mom is always looking to get rid of vintage dishes! I enjoy incorporating family heirlooms, original art, my children's art and vintage goodies in my decor. Oh, and I love books! Books, books, everywhere!

And your favorite color?
I hate to say it, but I love girly pink! Of course, I use it sparingly because I share my home with my husband and a son (as well as a daughter and fellow pink lover). And black. I almost always wear black, so I add touches of it in my decor to ground things.

Do you have have favorite designer or creator?
My favourite artists are my children. They create art without all of the boundaries that we adults have imposed on ourselves. They come up with some amazing pieces that come from a very unique perspective.

One objet or furniture you would like to have or acquire soon?
I just really want a comfortable King-sized mattress!

One object you could not live without?
I couldn't live without my camera. I take pictures of everything, including my food. Some people look at me like I'm strange, but my family is used to it by now.

The blogs you follow?
I have made some beautiful friends through blogging and I rely on their blogs now for inspiration and enjoyment. I wish I could name them all, but here's a few: www.youngheartoldsoul.com, www.mytrashandtreasure.blogspot.com,www.tatterandfray.blogspot.com, www.projectlittlesmith.blogspot.com, www.aclosetintellectual.blogspot.com

A little word to finish?
Thank you for visiting my home! Can I trade places with you and live in France for a few weeks?
